Chapter 13

This chapter is about keeping our priorities straight. The author talks about how God has shown him the three main priorities in his life, Knowing God, loving, and laboring the ministry. He wants to model his priorities both for his family and those involved in his worship ministry. He encourages us to implement biblical priorities in our lives and ministry. I liked this chapter because he guides us through having Christ centered priorities. I liked how he said that God is first in his life and his family is second because I feel like that is how all Christians should view their priorities. God is the most important thing in our lives and we should always strive to live for Him. It is also a huge priority to love and be with your family because God values family and wants us to treat them well. It is very important as worship leaders to keep our priorities straight and demonstrate to others how to always keep God first.

Chapter 12

This chapter is about cultivating the gifts God has given us. God gives us many gifts such as nurturing and healing. While we cultivate these gifts it is important to pray. It is also important to work diligently in order to cultivate these skills. As worship leaders we need to cultivate our gifts. I liked this chapter because it is so important that we build the gifts God has given us. God has blessed us with so much and it is important that we do not take them for granted. God does not want us to hide our talents he wants us to use them to glorify Him.
