Chapter 9: Holding Loosely to the Ministry Positio

This chapter is about the author talking about worship leaders who helped the church grow. The worship leaders pastor began to make decisions that he did not agree with so he left the church. The moral of this story is to not rely on the position that we are in right now because God could change our paths at any time. Do not put your entire identity into your position because it could change. I like this chapter because it emphasizes how Gods plan for us could change at any time. I think that it is important for us to be flexible as worship leaders and be prepared for any changes God brings to our lives. God has amazing plans for our lives and we just need to follow Him. It is important to constantly pray and ask God to help guide us.

  1. Favin I really liked your insight in this chapter. I agree that flexibility is super important as a worship leader. We need to follow Gods plan which may not always be worship leading. As you said, prayer is super important for God to guide us.

  2. I love how you put it here. We all know in our heads that God has plans for us, but it's so hard to trust Him. However, as worship leaders, it's even more important for us to follow Him. Therefore we need to pray unceasingly and ask Jesus to help us trust Him.

  3. I liked that you said that we shouldn't rely on our position as our identity. I liked that you said that we should be open to change. God can call us to leave our positions to a new position. We have to be open to change because we should rely in him, not our positions.
